A huge benefit of digital marketing is the ability to target specific audiences. But of course you have to first identify who your target audience is, and that may vary depending on the goals you have for a specific product or campaign.

 

Let’s say for example your audience on Instagram are mostly younger people, who engage more with memes or short videos. On the other hand, your Facebook audience are mostly older professionals who are looking for strategic advice. Now that you have identified your audiences, you can craft your content accordingly.

Of course, the need for a budget is dependent on what elements you are looking to use. For inbound techniques such as SEO, social media, and content creation for a pre existing website, you won’t need very much budget at all. However, with outbound techniques like online advertising and purchasing email lists, there will be some expense. The costs will ultimately come down to what kind of visibility you are wanting to get. So it’s important to establish ahead of time how much you are willing and able to spend.
